JANET GRACE (SHUTZER) ROCCO, 85, died August 30, 2022 peacefully surrounded by family. Born on April 27, 1937, she grew up in Freehold, NJ, graduating from Lakewood High School in 1955. She began her career in bookkeeping at the Wall Street Journal. After moving to Nashville, TN, in 1972, she worked at Willis Corroon over 20 years, retiring as the Head of Payroll. The greatest joy of her life, however, was her family. She was immensely proud of each of them and was always there with love and support. She was predeceased by her mother and stepfather, Marie and John Shiroky; sister, Dorothy Lindsay; brothers, Billy, Donald and Richard Shutzer. She is survived by her two children, William Rocco (Rochelle) and Donna Williams (Gary) of Nashville; sisters Gladys Steppat and Frances Shutzer of Freehold; sisters-in-law Berta Shutzer of Aiken, SC, and Sharon Shutzer of Freehold; granddaughters, Stacy Turner, Carrie Rocco, Taylor Pulford (Jacob) and Maggie Rocco; along with 7 great-grandsons and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 29th, at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, NJ. Visitation will start at 12:00 pm followed by funeral services at 1:00. Internment follows at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent, NJ. In remembrance of her 30-year battle with cancer, the family requests consideration of memorial donations to the American Cancer Society.
