Donald Cusson, 84, died March 13, 2023, surrounded by his family in Brick Township, NJ. An incredibly proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he embraced life to the fullest and found laughter in almost all situations. Donald is the son of the late Lucien and Anna Cusson. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 64 years, Betty Cusson, his daughter Joan and husband Frank, his son David and wife Annette, his daughter Donna and husband John, his son Jim and wife Heidi, his son Jeff and wife Laura, and Jennifer, fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Predeceased are his brothers Roger and Robert as well as some extraordinary friends. Having gone to Freehold Borough High School and raised his family in the same town, Donald is well known in the area as the former owner of the restaurant Colonial Freeze and a Pari Mutuel at Freehold Raceway. His love of performing was lived through the community theater organization the South Street Players. And, if looking for him on vacation, he was likely to be found at Disney World. A viewing will take place from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial with be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 10:30 AM.
