Obituary of Gerald D. Cromer
Gerald D. Cromer, 72, of Freehold Township died Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at home. He was born in Long Branch and had resided in Colts Neck Township before moving to Freehold Township in 1967. Mr. Cromer was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Seabees. He was a foreman for the Colts Neck Township Public Works Department before his retirement ten years ago. Mr. Cromer was a former member of Colts Neck Fire Company No. 1 and a life member of Buckmasters Hunt Club. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles E. and Arletta Weld Cromer. A brother, Charles Cromer, Sr. died on Monday. Surviving are a sister-in-law, Evelyn Emmons Cromer, Freehold Township; eight nephews and nieces; 22 great nephews and nieces, and a great great nephew. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 10:00 A.M. followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.
